Nelson Mandela's daughter, Zinzi, has spoken of how proud she is of her father, at the UK premiere of Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.
The world learnt of the death of South Africa's first black president as royalty, celebrities and fans were watching the royal premiere of the film about his life.
It was during the screening in London's Leicester Square that Mr Mandela's daughter was informed her 95-year-old father had died peacefully at home.
The Queen and the Prince of Wales are among those who have paid tribute to the anti-apartheid icon. Report by Lauren Hood.
